About the SIUC Cycling Club
Did you know that Southern Illinois is one of the best places for cycling in the midwest? There are cycling experiences awaiting anyone of any cycling taste. Carbondale, Illinois; containing Southern Illinois University Carbondale is a a center for cycling advocacy resulting in a pleasant place for commuters to a number of opportunities for serious pedallers.
The Southern Illinois University Cycling Club is proud to represent the student cycling community in Carbondale, IL. Members include everything from the casual rider to competitive athetes in almostevery cycling discipline.
How can I become a member?
The SIUC Cycling Club is open to all SIUC students, regardless of cycling preference. Come to a meeting, or check out our Events page for information on upcoming rides, and club activities.
How much are fees and what do I have to do as member?
Club fees are set by SIUC and vary from season to season. Just come to the meetings and participate in any way that you can!
What do you do during the season?
There are a variety of activities the club participates in, including organized rides and travelling events (club field trips, races, training, etc). If you have an idea of what you might want to do, come to a meeting and let us know. Check out our Events section to see what's planned for this season.
Do you sell jerseys?
The SIUC Cycling Club does sell cycling jerseys and other apparel, which can be found by going to our Apparel page. Ordering a jersey is as easy as contacting our treasurer. Sizes are usually in stock, and we will ship them to you if you're not so local.
